Since 1830, the Schroffenegger family has been running the Oberwirt in Collepietra, previously called Gfadhof. Initially as a village inn with agricultural activities, later transformed into a true vacation hotel. Here is an excerpt from the history of our building constructions.
The first guests arrive.
The new road to Collepietra is built.
Installation of the first central heating system.
Expansion with dining room, terrace, and some rooms.
Construction of the indoor swimming pool.
Demolition of the barn and construction of the annex with 19 rooms.
Expansion of the rooms above the dining room.
Construction of a large underground garage with 18 parking spaces to solve parking problems.
Construction of a small dining room, with panelling inspired by the old farmhouse stube.
Expansion at the back of the annex.
Modernization of the indoor swimming pool with an infinity edge and an automated water treatment system.
Complete renovation of the main building, preserving only the old farmhouse stube.
Renovation of the kitchen.
Construction of the second underground garage and solarium area.
Demolition of the old indoor swimming pool, construction of a new pool with a wellness area and sauna, rooms and suites, underground connection to the annex, installation of elevators.
Renovation of the ground floor rooms in the annex, construction of the farmhouse suite, and some new bathrooms.
Creation of the massage area and relaxation room with original straw beds.
Complete renovation of the dining room, reception, and rooms above the dining room, installation of air conditioning for dining rooms and rooms, conversion of the kitchen from gas to electricity.
Construction of the pellet heating system.
Renovation of 10 rooms in the annex, transformed into allergy-friendly rooms with real wood floors, creation of a small solarium near the pool.
A green relaxation oasis is created above the new covered parking areas.
Creation of the barefoot path, installation of an electric vehicle charging station.
Installation of a hot tub for up to 7 people in the relaxation garden.
Mercury, Neptune, and Sun: two new double rooms and a family room at Oberwirt.
Our new wine lounge in the Oberwirt hotel also offers the perfect ambiance, inspired by the solar system.
The great world novelty of Hotel Oberwirt in South Tyrol/Italy: our Apollo 11 themed room.
Named in honour of the first human flight to the moon and created on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the historic moon landing. We have recreated the Eagle spacecraft in full size and transformed it into a family room.
Complete renovation of the King Laurin rooms and the Antares and Sadalsuud stellar suites, with new luxury bathrooms featuring walk-in showers, installation of air conditioning in 11 rooms.
On 16th May Josef Schroffenegger died.
Installation of a photovoltaic system of approximately 20 kW.
